Let's Work
We believe that people make the most of their second chances. Fair hiring is important because 375,000 adults in Alameda County have a criminal record – that’s 1 in 4. Employers are a lot less likely to interview applicants with records, even though studies have found workers with records to be more productive, have lower turnover rates, and be promoted faster than other workers. Practicing fair hiring is not just good for your business, it supports our community. Employment is the number one influence on reducing recidivism, so helping people with conviction histories find jobs will help lower the crime rate here in Alameda County!
